And, it also saw the closing of the beloved Manor Theater after a 73-year run. But out of that came a new hope. They combined forces to become the Independent Picture House (IPH). Next week the Independent Picture House hosts the Charlotte Film Festival, which will run from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1.
