The Catalina Wine Mixer | May 31 - June 1, 2024. Inspired by the Step Brothers movie, The Catalina Wine Mixer has become the most anticipated event to celebrate summer on the island. Couples traveling to Santa Catalina Island loved staying at The Avalon Hotel in Catalina Island, Pavilion Hotel, and Hotel Atwater. These hotels in Santa Catalina Island are also highly rated by couples: Zane Grey Pueblo Hotel, Catalina Island Seacrest Inn, and Aurora Hotel. The Pavilion was recently remodeled and it sits right on Crescent Avenue. The Avalon Hotel is also new and has great views from the balconys. I have not stayed at either hotel but they look great. The Pavilion tends to get a lot of positive reviews on the forum. But none of the rooms have an "ocean view".
