Kenyon collegian - The second is the Old Kenyon fire which occurred on Feb. 27, 1949. The building went up in flames when the 120-year-old wooden infrastructure caught fire after a campus dance. Nine students died that night: one from burns, one from the fall after jumping out of a window and seven from asphyxiation due to the smoke.
