Review of Island Inn. Reviewed October 20, 2023. Mathews Lodge is an outstanding facility on Sanibel Island. The shelling at the Inn was the best in ten years. The Lodge wasn't significantly impacted by Ian and is a great place to stay. We will be back in May as it is such a great experience.Island Inn News.
